Qingdao-Australia flights to be launched this year
THE Qingdao Airport has started a new flight schedule for the summer/autumn season. According to the schedule, the airport will start to offer a new service to Australia during the early half of this year, Logistics Week reported.
Wang Jianhong, a senior manager from the Qingdao Airport, told Logistics Week that during the new season, number of flights from Qingdao to Beijing will increase to 15 a day and those to Shanghai will rise to 13 a day. Besides, number of those to China's northeastern region, eastern city of Hangzhou and southwestern city of Guilin will also see substantial increase.
Mr Wang said, in the new season, number of China Eastern Airlines' weekly service to Beijing will rise from 21 to 41, while those to Shanghai will rise from 28 to 42 per week. Shandong Airlines' services to Beijing and Shanghai will also increase by seven flights a week.
In addition to the increase in frequencies of existing services, there will also be a number of newly-launched or recommenced services. China Eastern will launch a new line from Qingdao to northern city of Taiyuan and Lanzhou, providing three flights a week on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. The flights will take off from Qingdao at 1235 hrs, arrive at Taiyuan at 1400 hrs and then reach Lanzhou at 1630 hrs.
The carrier will also recommence the suspended daily service from Qingdao to southwestern city of Chengdu. The flights will take off from Qingdao at 1650 hrs and reach Chengdu at 1925 hrs.
