Vanuatu inter islands ferry sinking, 75 people rescued

Vanuatu Archipelago inter islands ferry, landing craft LC URATA, reported sinking in the afternoon Jan 10 after water started to flood engine room. In vicinity 17 00S 167 37E, some 70 nm northwest of Port Vila. 60 passengers and 15 crew were rescued by cargo ship YOUNG BLOOD, LC URATA expectedly was to sink at around midnight, but in the morning Jan 11 she was still adrift.
