Hawaiian Airlines awarded share of US$227 million defence contract
HAWAIIAN Airlines has received a share of a US$227 million federal contract for international commercial scheduled air cargo services, according to the US Department of Defence.
The Honolulu-based airline was one of 13 other airlines selected for the programme, reports Honululu's Pacific Business News.
The contract calls for an overall five-year maximum ceiling value of $227.9 million with a contract guaranteed minimum award amount of $2,500 per awardee.
The contract, which will be performed worldwide, will run from Februrary 1 to January 31, 2019, with four one-year option periods from Februrary 1, 2019, to January 31, 2023.
