Wan Hai Lines time charters Diana Containerships' 6,494 TEU ship for US$11,000/day
WAN Hai Lines (Singapore) has entered into a time charter agreement with Diana Containerships Inc for the m/v "Hamburg" a 6,494 TEU containership built in 2009.
The gross charter rate is US$11,000 per day, minus a 3.75 per cent commission paid to third parties, for a minimum period of 120 days up to a maximum of 220 days. The charter commenced on December 1.
The time charter is anticipated to generate $1.32 million in gross revenue over the minimum period of the time charter, reported MarineLink.com.
The Hamburg was previously chartered to CMA CGM at a gross charter rate of US$6,700 per day, minus a 3.5 per cent commission paid to third parties.
Diana Containerships Inc's fleet currently comprises six post-Panamax and five Panamax containerships.
