Yemeni civil war Saudi-backed offensive closes 6 ports and terminals
SAUDI-BACKED Coalition forces have commenced offence operations north of Mokha on the Red Sea against Iranian-backed Houthi forces who still hold the Yemeni capital of Sana'a 400 kilometres away, according to GAC Hot Port News.
Operations are expected to continue until they reach the port city of Hodeidah where there are currently three ships secured to berth and no ships are at anchorage.
The status of ports and terminals in Yemen are as follows: Open and operational are ports of Aden, Mukalla, Ash Shihr Oil Terminal, Nishtun and Hodeidah.
Ports considered closed are Balhaf LNG Terminal, Mokha, Saleef, Ras Isa Marine Terminal (FSO) and Ras Isa Petroleum Products Reception Facility.
