Asia-Europe rate rises 3pc to US$751/TEU, down 17pc to US west coast
SPOT rates for shipping containers from Asia to northern Europe in the week ending Friday rose three per cent to US$751 per TEU, according to the Shanghai Containerised Freight Index (SCFI).
Asia-Mediterranean trade inched up 0.84 per cent to $600 per TEU. Asia to the US west coast fell 17.3 per cent week on week to $1,078 per FEU, while those to the US east coast fell 5.1 per cent to $1,804 per FEU.
