AADA ups Far East-Oz bunker surcharge to US$325/TEU from January 7
THE Asia Australia Discussion Agreement (AADA) the bunker surcharge on shipments from Japan, Korea, mainland China, Hong Kong and Taiwan to ports in Australia to US$325 per TEU for dry and refrigerated containers from January 7.
In a notice to trade, the quasi-shipping conference said it had revised its charge as it reflects the recent increase in the price of oil at Hong Kong and South Korea.
Customers requiring further information concerning the bunker surcharge are advised to contact the member lines, which are ANL Singapore, APL, Cosco, Evergreen, Hamburg Sud, Hyundai Merchant Marine, Maersk, Mediterranean Shipping Co, OOCL, PIL, TS Lines and Yang Ming.
