CMA CGM to levy Asia-Mideast/Med/ECSA rate increases
FRENCH shipping giant CMA CGM has announced several rate increases effective December 15 from Asia to the east coast of South America, the Middle East, Mediterranean and the Black Sea.
The first is from Asia to the east coast of South America, including north east Brazil, up US$500 per TEU.
The second, up $300 per TEU, applies on cargo from Asia to Jeddah (Saudi Arabia), Ain Sokhna (Egypt), Aqaba (Jordan), Djibouti, Port Sudan (Sudan), Aden (Yemen), Berbera (Somalia) and Massawa (Eritrea).
CMA CGM also announced new freight all kind rates from Asia to the western Mediterranean for $900 per TEU, $1,700 per FEU, $1,750 per FEU high cube and $1,750 per FEU reefer.
From Asia to the Adriatic the new FAK rate will be for $950 per TEU, $1,800 per FEU, $1,850 per FEU high cube and $1,850 per FEU reefer.
From Asia to the Black Sea the new FAK rate will be for 1,350 per TEU, $1,900 per FEU, $1,900 per FEU high cube and $2,000 per FEU reefer.
From Asia to the eastern Mediterranean the new FAK rate will be for $1,250 per TEU, $1,800 per FEU, $1,800 per FEU high cube and $1,800 per FEU reefer.
From Asia to Syria the new FAK rate will be for 1,300 per TEU, $1,800 per FEU, $1,800 per FEU high cube and $1,800 per FEU reefer.
