Omar Shamsi is Maersk Line's new president in North America
FORMER president of Maersk Line of Latin America Omar Shamsie is to take on his new role as president of Maersk Line in North America on December 1.
Mr Shamsie, who has also served as president of Maersk Line Canada, has been with the Danish shipping line for 28 year and has served in director and vice president positions around the globe with the company.
Michael White, the former president of Maersk Line North America, stepped down from the role in October and is taking on a newly created role as head of global trade digitisation for AP Moller-Maersk Transport & Logistics, reports American Shipper.
