ABC flies 28 Maserati Gran Turismo cars from Milan to Tokyo

AIRBRIDGECARGO Airlines (ABC) has flown 28 new Maserati Gran Turismo cars onboard a chartered Boeing 747 freighter from Milan to Tokyo on behalf of Agility Logistics.

The cars were flown to the largest airport in Milan, Malpensa, and onwards to Narita Airport with a stop at Moscow Sheremetyevo Airport.

The Maserati cars were handled by Alha Airport MXP and positioned securely onto double-deck car racks to ensure the efficient use of space and safe transportation, reported London's Air Cargo News.

ABC's B747F displayed the Maserati branding to make an attention-grabbing arrival in Tokyo, where 300 guests and media representatives were waiting for the aircraft to taxi to its parking spot to begin unloading the cars.

ABC's general director Sergey Lazarev was quoted as saying: "This is a unique event as it gives each party involved the perfect opportunity to observe vehicle transportation procedures first-hand."

He added: "Our abcXL product was developed in close cooperation with our customers for such an operation to combine tried and tested principles with innovative ideas for efficient and reliable deliveries."
