Miami airport launches Cargo Flight Tracker for US air freight industry
MIAMI International Airport has unveiled its innovative Cargo Flight Tracker that provides real-time cargo flight information at the Americas & SeaCargo Americas 2017 conference and exhibition in Miami.
MIA's Cargo Flight Tracker is billed by the airport operator, Miami-Dade Aviation Department (MDAD) as the "first web-based cargo flight information display system in the US that allows cargo shippers, forwarders, customs brokers and logistics providers to easily view real-time cargo flight information on their mobile devices while on the go."
Previously, cargo flight data was only available by contacting or researching individual airlines, the airport pointed out, reported London's Air Cargo News.
"How, cargo handlers have MIA's minute-by-minute schedule of daily cargo flights in the palm of their hands - saving valuable time and fuel costs when planning freight pick-ups and deliveries," the airport operator said.
