US puts punitive tariffs on Canadian lumber, but less than first threatened
THE US confirmed punitive tariffs on imports of softwood lumber from Canada although the penalties are lower than first threatened.
Final average countervailing duties of 14.25 per cent and anti-dumping duties of 6.58 per cent will be levied on Canadian producers, the US Department of Commerce said.
