Asia-Europe rate rises 4.7pc to US$779/TEU, up 2.4pc to USWC
SPOT rates for shipping containers from Asia to northern Europe in the week ending Friday rose 4.7 per cent to US$779 per TEU, according to the Shanghai Containerised Freight Index (SCFI).
Asia-Mediterranean trade increased 3.1 per cent to $660 per TEU. Asia to the US west coast rose 2.4 per cent week-over-week to $1,548 per FEU while those to the east coast up 0.7 per cent to $2,089 per FEU.
