DaChan Bay Terminals welcomes new intra-Asia GLX service
DACHAN Bay Terminals (DCB) has welcomed the 6,000 TEU Emirates Hana, marking the start of calls on the new GALEX (GLX) service that is jointly operated by Emirates Shipping Line (ESL) and Regional Container Lines (RCL).
"We are pleased to welcome the new service as it will enhance further the network of services available at our facilities which is strategically located in western Shenzhen to serve the Pearl River Delta manufacturing hub," said managing director of DCB, Benjamin Lai.
GLX service focuses on customers' need for reliability, stability and efficiency. Importers and exporters in South China will benefit from this Asia, Indian Subcontinent and Middle East weekly service with competitive transit times and comprehensive networks, DCB said.
The two shipping companies deploy eight vessels, seven from ESL and one from RCL to operate the service.
GLX Service calls DaChan Bay Terminals every Tuesday with a port rotation of Pusan, Shanghai, Ningbo, DaChan Bay, Singapore, Port Kelang, Cochin, Nhava Sheva, Mundra, Jebel Ali, Bandar Abbas, Dammam, Jebel Ali, Hazira, Cochin, Port Kelang, Hong Kong and Pusan.
