Hong Kong yacht race from Sai Kung to Daya Bay in the mainland
SEVENTY yachts are expected to take part in a race from Hong Kong to Daya Bay in the Mainland, which will take place on Thursday October 26.
The organisers say the race will start in the vicinity of Steep Island, Sai Kung at 09:00 hours and the Marine Department in Hong Kong has urged masters, coxswains and persons-in-charge of vessels navigating in the vicinity to proceed with caution, giving practical consideration to the contestants.
The department warned that compliance with the provisions of the International Regulations for Preventing Collisions at Sea, 1972 is mandatory.
