Shreyas takes delivery of 3 feeder boxships and scraps a 570-TEU ship
INDIAN container feeder operator Shreyas Shipping & Logistics has taken delivery of three containerships, the 1,500-TEU SSL Ganga, the 4,200-TEU SSL Brahmaputra, and the 650-TEU SSL Balaji.
The SSL Brahmaputra is now the largest vessel in the company's fleet. The ship was purchased earlier this month, reported Singapore's Splash 24/7.
In a separate development, Shreyas has entered into an agreement to sell the 1989-built, 570-TEU containership, the SSL Sagarmala, to a scrap yard in Bangladesh at a price of US$400 per LDT.
