Catapult adds Kerry Logistics to its global forwarding customer base

CATAPULT, an Accelya company, of Kansas City, Kansas, has been contracted to provide Hong Kong's Kerry Logistics with a selected QMS (Quotation Management System) web-based rate automation and quoting platform to strengthen its global international freight forwarding (IFF) capabilities.

Catapult's QMS will serve as a centralised rate database for Kerry Logistics' offices globally, providing instant access to ocean, air, and ground rates and contracts. Users will be able to search rates, compare carrier costs, view sailing schedules, transit time, create reports, and book shipments all through a single platform.

Said Catapult International CEO Virgil Ferreira: "Kerry Logistics understands the importance of digitisation to drive operational improvements, and sees the opportunity in terms of responsiveness to customer requests and better management of margins with Catapult's technology."

Said Kerry's global ocean chief Deepak Saxena: "This gives us a worldwide, comprehensive, user-friendly, highly commercial digitalised platform for our IFF division, fuelling sales engine and operational excellence."

Catapult provides technology-enabled solutions for forwarders, shippers and carriers. Managing over one billion cargo rates at over a 99 per cent accuracy rate, Catapult combines air, ocean and ground rate contracts into one simple cloud-based system.

Kerry Logistics is global 3PL with the strongest network in Asia. Its core competency is providing highly customised solutions to multinational corporations and international brands to enhance their supply chain efficiency. It has 1,000 service points in 51 countries and territories, and is managing 48 million square feet of logistics facilities and is listed on the main board of the Hong Kong stock exchange.
