Hapag-Lloyd levies US$146/TEU Europe-Senegal emergency surcharge
LONG delays at the Port of Dakar in Senegal due to renovation work on the terminal premises, has induced Hapag-Lloyd to levy a EUR125 (US$146) per TEU.
German shipping giant Hapag-Lloyd will implement an Emergency Surcharge (EMS) for all container types from North Europe and Mediterranean to Dakar, Senegal.
The Ocean Tariff rates as well as bunker-related surcharges, security-related surcharges, Terminal Handling Charges (THCs) remain unchanged.
Other local charges and contingency surcharges may apply in addition.
