GAC announces key IT appointments to drive strategy
DUBAI-BASED GAC Group has announced two key IT management appointments to maximise the effectiveness of digital tools to serve and grow its global business.
Chief information officer Martin Wallgren says GAC's new digital platform focusses on market intelligence, customers, the commercial ecosystem, and new means of gathering and sharing data. The new appointees will form part of central team dedicated to consolidating the Group's digital development to date and lay the groundwork for future development.
Facundo Mendoza, previously senior IT manager, has been appointed as Group general manager - Technology Business Management (TBM). He is tasked with leading the TBM team in growing business by identifying and providing data to guide collaboration and strategic decision-making. He is also charged with improving business processes and IT solutions by serving as a bridge between the two functions.
Helena Lemon has joined GAC as technology business manager - Management Information. She heads a team focussed on safeguarding accurate data and reporting across the Group, and at a later stage will also be responsible for implementing and supporting the use of advanced business intelligence and analytics to drive insight and greater business value across the group.
Ms Lemon brings extensive experience to her new role with a background as an international management consultant focussing on business and IT improvement in strategy and operations, a company statement said.
