MSC, Yang Ming to run weekly Med-Asia loops to beleaguered Qatar
GENEVA's Mediterranean Shipping Company (MSC) and Taiwan's Yang Ming will commence weekly services to the blockaded emirate of Qatar from September 17, reports Doha's daily Peninsula.
MSC will launch a new line in Mediterranean with four ships, each with a capacity of 6,000 TEU and 400 reefer plugs.
The MSC service will rotate through Mersin, Istanbul, Tekridag, Canakkale and Iskenderun, Piraeus, Mundra, Sohar, Salalah and Hamad Port in Qatar.
Yang Ming will start a weekly service with one same-size ship also with 400 reefer plugs that will rotate through Shanghai, Ningbo, Xiamen and Shenzhen-Shekou, Kaohsiung, Port Klang and Hamad Port in Qatar.
