DoKaSch adds 50 new RAP-containers to its cool chain
DOKASCH Temperature Solutions GmbH, a cool container solutions provider, is adding 50 new RAP-containers to its existing fleet of Opticoolers. This means that 500 active containers that have been made in Germany are now globally available to transport pharmaceuticals and high-tech equipment.
The Opticooler provides reliable transport conditions for shipments across continents and climate zones or during unexpected events, for goods that must be kept within a very strict temperature range.
"We are proud, that our products have proven worthy in the day to day air cargo business and that we can offer our customers an extremely reliable product. We therefore provide a solution to tackle the difficulties in the global cool chain logistics," said DoKaSch managing director Andreas Seitz, reported Mumbai's STAT Trade Times.
Equipped with battery powered cooling compressors and heaters as well as a self-regulating temperature control, the internal temperatures consistently stay well within range at any point in the storage area. Temperatures ranging between two and eight degrees Celsius or 15 and 25 degrees Celsius, for example, can be maintained, regardless of the ambient temperatures.
The flying smart warehouse only needs one electrical outlet to fully charge the energy storage after a flight, which ensures there is always enough power available to deal with unexpected events. A full charge, from 50 to 100 per cent, can be achieved within two hours.
