CMA CGM to levy rate hikes to Med and Black Sea ports September 15
FRENCH shipping giant CMA CGM has announced rate increases from Asia to Mediterranean port including those in North Africa from September 15 until September 30.
New rates from Asia to western Mediterranean destinations will be US$1,050 per TEU, $2,000 per FEU and $3,050 per FEU high cube.
New rates from Asia to Adriatic destinations will be $1,050 per TEU, $2,000 per FEU and $3,050 per FEU high cube.
New rates from Asia to Black Sea destinations will be $1,600 per TEU, $2,300 per FEU and $2,300 per FEU high cube.
New rates from Asia to eastern Mediterranean destinations will be $1,600 per TEU, $2,300 per FEU and $2,300 per FEU high cube.
New rates from Asia to Syrian destinations will be $1,600 per TEU, $2,300 per FEU and $2,300 per FEU high cube.
New rates from Asia to Algerian destinations will be $1,900 per TEU, $3,600 per FEU and $3,675 per FEU high cube.
New rates from Asia to Tunisian destinations will be $1,650 per TEU, $3,100 per FEU and $3,175 per FEU high cube.
New rates from Asia to Libyan destinations will be $1,600 per TEU, $3,000 per FEU and $3,075 per FEU high cube.
New rates from Asia to Moroccan destinations will be $1,550 per TEU, $2,900 per FEU and $2,950 per FEU high cube.
These new freight all kinds (FAK) rates will apply to all outports in Asia and North Africa and will be subject to additional surcharges, said the company.
These rates include the basic freight and are subject to the bunker related surcharges, terminal handling charges at origin and destination, peak season charges and the security charges which are accessible at http://www.cma-cgm.com/ebusiness/tariffs/charge-finder. Other charges such as contingency charges and local charges may also apply.
