CMA CGM levies hikes from Med to US-Canada east, Gulf coasts October 1
FRENCH shipping giant CMA CGM Freight has announced freight all kinds (FAK) rate increases from October 1.
Med-US east coast rates will rise to US$1,500 per TEU and $1,750 per FEU and $5,250 per TEU reefer and $10,350 per FEU reefer.
Thus, new Med-Canada east coast rates will rise to $1,500 per TEU and $1,750 per FEU and $5,250 per TEU reefer and $10,350 per FEU reefer.
Med-US Gulf will rise to US$1,500 per TEU and $1,800 per FEU and $5,250 per TEU reefer and $10,350 per FEU reefer.
New FAK rates will apply to cargo from Mediterranean ports and the Spanish Atlantic port of Vigo. They will also apply to Canada east coast destinations, which includes Montreal, and to all dry and reefer cargo, special equipment in gauge or out of gauge (OOG).
These rates include the basic freight and are subject to the bunker related surcharges, the THC (origin and destination), the peak season charges and similar charges and the security related surcharges which are accessible at http://www.cma-cgm.com/ebusiness/tariffs/charge-finder. Other charges such as contingency charges and local charges may also apply.
