Asia-Europe rate falls 4pc to US$886/TEU, off 3pc to USWC
SPOT rates for shipping containers from Asia to northern Europe in the week ending Friday fell four per cent to US$886 per TEU, according to the Shanghai Containerised Freight Index (SCFI).
Asia-Mediterranean trade dropped 3.8 per cent to $791 per TEU, American Shipper reported.
Asia to the US west coast declined three per cent week over week to $1,495 per FEU while those to the east coast were off 5.7 per cent to $2,280 per FEU.
