Changi Airport's air cargo volume soars in July
SINGAPORE's Changi Airport has registered 11.2 per cent year-on-year rise in airfreight throughput in July handling 179,550 tonnes.
The airport in the Lion City also has handled 5.4 million passenger movements in the same month, a 4.5 per cent year-on-year increase. For the month of July, all regions recorded growth in passenger traffic. India, Changi's sixth largest country market year to date, saw passenger traffic surge 16 per cent, registering double digit growth for the seventh consecutive month this year.
Among Changi's top 20 country markets, Germany, United Arab Emirates and United States also achieved double-digit growth in July, The STAT Trade Times of Navi Mumbai reported.
