Asia-Europe rate inches up 0.5pc to US$923/TEU, off 7pc to USWC
SPOT rates for shipping containers from Asia to northern Europe in the week ending Friday inched up 0.5 per cent to US$923 per TEU, according to the Shanghai Containerised Freight Index (SCFI).
Asia-Mediterranean trade dropped 1.1 per cent to $822 per TEU, IHS Media reported.
Asia to the US west coast fell seven per cent week over week to $1,541 per FEU while those to the east coast were down seven per cent to $2,419 per FEU.
