TT Club provides insurance cover for 'Uber-style' forwarding
THE Russian start-up freight forwarder,Deliver is an Uber-style operation that has managed to win insurance cover from London's TT Club.
The innovative online cargo transport operation that is among the first in the country to implement an 'Uber-style' service.
Through its network Deliver aims to achieve greater convenience for its customers and efficiency for a carrier resource base of more than 59,000 drivers.
Such a high volume of sub-contracted transport arrangements, which will require swift and seamless contractual agreements, requires specialist and comprehensive insurance cover, reports the American Journal of Transportation.
The TT Club, a major transport insurance provider, together with Russian partner Panditrans, has committed to provide coverageand a range of risk management services to the new startup.
The insurer's contract with Deliver covers trading conditions as well as liabilities in hiring sub-contractors.
"In addition to assuring the freight forwarder of protection from risk and unsubstantiated claims, TT Club provides insurance toDeliver that strengthens its reputation with stakeholders, including the authorities," said the insurer's press release.
