Asia-Europe rate drops 1.4pc to US$918/TEU, off 1.2pc to USWC
SPOT rates for shipping containers from Asia to northern Europe in the week ending Friday declined 1.4 per cent to US$918 per TEU, according to theShanghai Containerised Freight Index (SCFI).
Asia-Mediterranean trade dropped 2.1 per cent to $831 per TEU. Asia to the US west coast rates were up 1.2 per cent week to week to $1,659 per FEU while those to the east coast fell 1.1 per cent to $2,592 per FEU.
