Turkish cop stabbed to death by suicide bomber - killer shot dead
A Turkish police officer was stabbed to death by a man suspected of being a member of Islamic State, in the course of his arrest in Istanbul.
Turkish police said the man was implicated in a plot to bomb an Etihad Airways flight in Australia using explosives from Turkey, reported New York's International Business Times.
Police said explosives used were sent by air cargo from Turkey as part of a plot "inspired and directed" by IS terrorists.
