Seaboard Marine boosts US-Latin America services to tap new trade
SEABOARD Marine is commencing a service linking the southernmost US port with Ecuador and Peru, and is strengthening its service connecting Miami to Costa Rica and Panama, to take advantage of growing imports and exports between the US east coast and South America.
Starting from August 11, the carrier will launch a three-ship service, linking port Miami via the Panama Canal with the ports of Guayaquil, Ecuador, and Callao and Paita. Southbound transit times will be eight days to Guayaquil, nine days to Callao, and 12 days to Paita. Scheduled northbound transits will be nine days from Callao, eight from Paita, and six from Guayaquil, reported IHS Media.
