Asia-Europe rate declines 2.9pc to US$935/TEU, off 2pc to USWC
SPOT rates for shipping containers from Asia to northern Europe in the week ending Friday declined 2.9 per cent to US$935 per TEU, according to the Shanghai Containerised Freight Index (SCFI).
Asia-Mediterranean trade dropped 2.7 per cent to $859 per TEU, IHS Media reported.
Asia to the US west coast were down two per cent week over week to $1,661 per FEU while those to the east coast were down one per cent to $2,661 per FEU.
