Asia-Europe rate rises 4.8pc to US$963/TEU, soars 37.6pc to USWC
SPOT rates for shipping containers from Asia to northern Europe in the week ending Friday rose 4.8 per cent to US$963 per TEU, according to the Shanghai Containerised Freight Index (SCFI).
Asia-Mediterranean trade increased 3.6 per cent to $883 per TEU, American Shipper reported.
Asia to the US west coast surged 37.6 per cent week over week to $1,687 per FEU while those to the east coast shot up 20.2 per cent to $2,685 per FEU.
