Maritime HR & Crew Management Europe conference comes to London in October
THE 21st Maritime HR & Crew Management Conference will be held in London on October 18 and 19 to focus on the issues of cost effective strategies for optimising crew potential, selection and retention, and legislation compliance.
One of the highlights of the event will be a presentation by deputy director Dwain Hutchinson of The Bahamas Maritime Authority that will focus on regulatory updates and requirements.
Other topics for discussion include: cost efficiency versus crew quality; port state control; advancements in crew communication; crew training and differences; technology and practices to enhance crew welfare; keeping on-board accidents/incidents to a minimum; and insurance challenges connected to seafarers.
