HSBC and GT Nexus work to boost access to funding for supply chain firms
CLOUD-based business applications provider GT Nexus has formed a supply chain finance partnership with financial services firm HSBC to help the US-based industry gain better access to funding.
Financing capabilities will be integrated to the platform for HSBC's clients in the United States, according a Global Trade Review report cited by American Shipper.
"Our new partnership with HSBC will ease the access to funds and help companies free up working capital," GT Nexus said onTwitter.
Although the offering is initially only available to HSBC customers based in the US, it could be expanded geographically in the future, HSBC's global head of product and propositions, global trade and receivables finance, Vinay Mendonca, told GTR.
"The good thing with these cloud-based solutions is that they can be quite easily replicated to different geographies without much work," Mr Mendoca said.
