Asia-Europe rate falls 2.1pc to US$919/TEU, declines 3.1pc to USWC
SPOT rates for shipping containers from Asia to northern Europe in the week ending Friday fell 2.1 per cent to US$919 per TEU, according to the Shanghai Containerised Freight Index (SCFI).
Asia-Mediterranean trade slipped 1.4 per cent to $852 per TEU.
Asia to the US west coast declined 3.1 per cent week-over-week to $1,226 per FEU while those to the east coast off 0.8 per cent to $2,233 per FEU.
