HK June rises 0.2pc to 1.66 million TEU, S'pore up 8.5pc to 2.82 million TEU
FIGURES from the Hong Kong Marine Department showed the port handled 1.66 million TEU in June, representing a year-on-year increase of 0.2 per cent from 1.659 million TEU in June last year.
Singapore's Maritime and Port Authority reported a 8.5 per cent increase in container movement in June, having handled 2.82 million TEU compared to 2.6 million TEU in June last year.
Meanwhile Shanghai, the world's biggest container port, increased throughput 8.3 per cent to 3.4 million TEU in June year on year, according to the Shanghai International Port (Group) Co (SIPG).
