Frankfurt-Hahn H1 cargo rises 52pc as June volume soars 101pc
GERMANY's Frankfurt-Hahn Airport (HHN) has more than doubled its first half cargo volume year on year, up 52 per cent to 49,000 tonnes.
In June, alone, the airport posted a record 8,670 tonnes of freight - a 101 per cent year-on-year gain, reported New York's Air Cargo World.
The airport's two biggest cargo producers, Silk Way West and Nippon Cargo Airlines (NCA), both increased volumes and Silk Way and Etihad also increased their frequencies.
HHN vice president Roger Scheifele said the airport also benefited from charters and additional scheduled cargo flights out of the United States by Senator International and Air Atlanta Icelandic.
