Asia-Europe rate falls 3.1pc to US$939/TEU, off 5.1pc to USWC
SPOT rates for shipping containers from Asia to northern Europe in the week ending Friday fell 3.1 per cent to US$939 per TEU, according to the Shanghai Containerised Freight Index (SCFI).
Asia-Mediterranean trade slipped 4.6 per cent to $864 per TEU, London's The Loadstar reported.
Asia to the US west coast declined 5.1 per cent week-over-week to $1,265 per FEU while those to the east coast off 2.4 per cent to $2,251 per FEU.
