Dredging works in Kwai Tsing for two months in Hong Kong container basin
DREDGING work will be carried out for two months at north-western corner of the Kwai Tsing container basin in Hong Kong from 0700 to 1900 hours.
The dredging works will be performed within the area bounded by straight lines joining the following co-ordinates (WGS 84 Datum) from (A) to (D): (A) 22 deg 20.809'N / 114 deg 06.889'E; (B) 22 deg 20.700'N / 114 deg 06.926'E; (C) 22 deg 20.666'N / 114 deg 06.810'E; and (D) 22 deg 20.776'N / 114 deg 06.773'E, according to Marine Department Notice No 100 of 2017.
The works will be carried out by one grab dredger, and a working area of 100 metres will be established around the grab dredger. Yellow marker buoys fitted with yellow flashing lights will mark the positions of the anchors extending from the grab dredger.
Three tugboats and two split-hopper barges will assist in the works. The vessels employed in the works will not stay in the works area outside the hours of work.
