Trump mulls anti-China trade sanctions over handling of North Korea
US PRESIDENT Donald Trump has denounced China's trade with North Korea and expressed doubt that Beijing is working to counter the North Korean nuclear threat, Reuters reports.
"Trade between China and North Korea grew almost 40 per cent in the first quarter. So much for China working with us - but we had to give it a try!" tweeted the US president.
Even before Pyongyang had tested an intercontinental ballistic missile, President Trump said he was running out of patience with China's steps to pressure North Korea and was considering trade sanctions.
Analysts said the latest missile could put all of Alaska in range for the first time. China is North Korea's largest trading partner and ally.
