Kuehne + Nagel begins building Swiss pharma handling facility
SWISS logistics giant Kuehne + Nagel has broken ground on a 16,300-square-metre "Pharma Hub Switzerland" in a bid to boost its market share in the country's pharma and healthcare industry.
The new logistics facility located in Mohlin will also accommodate hazardous goods and narcotics, in dedicated areas.
Pharma hub will be part of company's PharmaChain network, which transports pharma shipments with temperature-controlled, door-to-door shipping globally, reported New York's Air Cargo World.
Upon completion, the new facility will manage approximately 46,000 pallet spaces, operating in three distinct temperature zones: minus 20 degrees Celsius; minus two to eight degrees Celsius; and 15 to 25 degrees Celsius.
