Qatar airport's first half cargo increases 19pc to 980,000 tonnes
QATAR's Hamad International Airport (HIA), posted a 19 per cent year-on-year first half increase in cargo volume to 980,000 tonnes.
In the first six months of the year, 19 million passengers passed through the airport, representing a year-on-year increase of eight per cent, said the airport authority.
"Our growing passenger figures and cargo operations are a testament to our resilient and sustainable airport operations," said airport chief operating officer Mohammed Al Meer.
"Our promise of operational excellence is at the core of our business. HIA is a robust organisation backed by a committed and hardworking team," he said.
