Maersk delays Qatar sailing time a day later than first announced
MAERSK has advised customers seeking cargo passage to Qatar that its first sailing from Salalah in Oman to Doha is a day later than first announced.
The first sailing is now scheduled on the 4,253-TEU Liberian-flagged Jack London departing Salalah Monday June 26 and arriving in Doha Friday June 30.
The frequency of this service is every 10 days said Maersk Line and results from a boycott against Qatar by its Arab neighbours for its independent attitude and action on a range of issues.
"Booking acceptance for cargo to/from Qatar is open for all countries except the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Egypt and Yemen in compliance with the government guidelines," said a company statement.
