NACPC starts cooperative, 40-ft chassis pool at port of Charleston
THE North American Chassis Pool Cooperative (NACPC) has started providing a pool of 40-foot premium chassis from the port of Charleston, South Carolina, in partnership with Consolidated Chassis Management (CCM).
The chassis are available for daily, short-term and long-term lease, and equipped with radial tyres, LED lights and auto inflation systems.
The Charleston operation has been in place for 45 days as a test and has proved very successful, American Shipper cited NACPC vice president of sales, Rich Mazur, as saying. It's open to the entire local trucking and intermodal dray community in Charleston, and all that is required is an interchange agreement, which confirms insurance and accountability.
