CMA CGM to levy US$150/TEU Booking Cancellation Fee from June 1
FRENCH shipping giant CMA CGM will levy a Booking Cancellation Fee of US$150 per TEU from June 1 on all but reefer boxes, the company announced.
The fee will apply to all bookings cancelled or transferred seven calendar days or less before to vessel's cut-off date.
The cancellation fee will be invoiced to the booking party and apply to north Europe, including the UK and Scandinavia, as well as to the Red Sea, Middle East, India, Pakistan and Sri Lanka.
"Booking reliability will assist CMA CGM to efficiently allocate space and equipment to guarantee customers' needs and requirements," said the company statement.
