Asia-Europe rate falls 3.9pc to US$924/TEU, drops 8.5pc to USWC
SPOT rates for shipping containers from Asia to northern Europe fell 3.9 per cent to US$924 per TEU in the week ending Friday, according to the Shanghai Containerised Freight Index (SCFI).
Asia-Mediterranean trade dropped 3.7 per cent to $914 per TEU, American Shipper reported.
Asia to the US west coast declined 8.5 per cent week-over-week to $1,310 per FEU while those to the east coast off 5.5 per cent to $2,298 per FEU.
