K+N's launches new Changi centre to expedite air freight processing
SWISS based Kuehne + Nagel (K+N) has opened a new air freight hub in Singapore to consolidate its activities for the sector on the island.
The move will create operational synergies and improve cargo turnaround speed for time-critical shipments, the forwarder said. The new 5,200-square metre air freight centre is located within the Changi Airport logistics park and consolidates warehousing, administrative and aviation logistics activities previously located at three different places.
"Singapore is geographically pivotal to regional trade and a very important location for K+N," said K+N south Asia Pacific chief Jens Drewes.
"The new air freight logistics hub is part of our development blueprint to deliver logistics excellence with an end-to-end solution offering.
