Cyber crooks hit FedEx in global ransom grab that hits Windows OS
RANSOM malware infected FedEx in a global cyber attack in 150 countries with the virus infecting Microsoft Windows operating systems.
"Like many other companies, FedEx is experiencing interference with some of our Windows-based systems caused by malware," the company told Reuters. "We are implementing remediation steps as quickly as possible."
The "WannaCry" ransomware virus demands payments to restore access to infected computers. The BBC reported experts warn that more follow-up ransomware attacks could be looming.
