Yusen Logistics opens pharma gateway in Frankfurt to meet demand
YUSEN Logistics has opened a dedicated Good Distribution Practice (GDP) compliant pharmaceutical gateway in Frankfurt to meet increasing customer demands for "new ways to optimise flows within the constraints of GDP."
The operation links Yusen Logistics' German import/export consolidation centre and European road network, to form a multimodal hub, reported London's Air Cargo News.
"Frankfurt's global network, frequency of service, choice of carrier, streamlined handling processes and supportive Customs are all part of its high quality pharmaceutical offering," the company was cited as saying.
Yusen Logistics' European pharmaceutical operation is contracted to carry two million pallets this year, providing shared and single use solutions.
