Cargo plane carrying UPS packages crash in West Virginia killing two
THE pilot and copilot of small aircraft, owned by Air Cargo Carriers that was carrying UPS packages, were killed after the plane ran off the runway into a wooded area and crashed at Yeager Airport in Charleston, West Virginia, according to multiple news outlets.
The freighter had arrived in Charleston at around 6:51 am last Friday after departing from Louisville, Kentucky, earlier in the morning. Reports said that its wing had struck the ground.
According to ABC News, the aircraft was a Short Brothers 330 model owned by Air Cargo Carriers.
The airport said in a news release that the victims were identified as 47-year-old Johnathan Pablo Alvarado of Stamford, Texas, and 31-year-old Anh K Ho of Cross Lanes, West Virginia.
The National Transportation Safety Board is investigating the cause of the crash.
